聚醋和聚醚多元醇種類的多樣性是MS密封膠具有多功能性和獨特性能的重要原因之一。隨著更為環保、無毒的生物基多元醇不斷被開發,由此制備的MS密封膠正在受到越來越多的關注。由于目前的生物基聚氨醋材料的制備通常將生物基多元醇與石油基多元醇混用,研究人員一般需要通過生物基含量評估生物基聚氨醋材料中“新”有機碳的含量。生物基多元醇中的生物基含量是指源自天然化合物的碳原子與多元醇總碳原子之間的比率。生物基原料具有微量可測量的aC碳同位素,而化石原料則不具備。因此,根據標準ASTM 6866即可計算得出MS密封膠中的生物基含量。
在各種生物基原料中,植物油因其成熟的生產路線、低成本、無毒和結構多樣性而備受關注,已經成為潛在的生物基多元醇前體。植物油可看作是由不飽和脂肪酸和甘油化合而成的化合物,除少數具有經基的植物油(如蓖麻油),大多數植物油不含或只含很少的經基。因此,許多研究將植物油進行化學改性(如環氧化、加氫甲酞化、反酞胺化、酉旨化等)以增加反應所需的經基官能團。與石油基聚氨醋木材膠茹劑相比,由植物油多元醇制備的聚氨醋木材膠茹劑表現出更好的耐水解性。這是因為植物油基多元醇中的長脂肪酸側鏈阻止了水分子的滲透,從而保護MS密封膠不被水解。此外,植物油中存在的順式烯基和醋基也為其提供了獨特的化學多樣性。
蓖麻油是一種成本低且純度高的非食用植物油,其含有醋基、雙鍵、經基3種反應性基團,可以直接與異氰酸醋反應,也能夠進行化學改性,是目前研究最多的植物油基多元醇。究最多的植物油基多元醇。利用蓖麻油制備的MS密封膠能夠形成具有良好耐水性和柔韌性的交聯網絡結構。使用3種不同鏈長的蓖麻油基聚醋多元醇,在不同的NCO/OH摩爾比的條件下與芳香族異氰酸醋進行反應,成功制備了用于木材與木材粘接的MS密封膠。在研究中,由經值較高的蓖麻油基聚醋多元醇制備的MS密封膠在CO/OH摩爾比為1.3時表現出卓越的性能,其搭接剪切強度相比市售的酚醛樹脂膠茹劑高出10倍。這一發現為使用高經值蓖麻油基多元醇制備優質木材粘接MS密封膠提供了實質性的研究支持。http://www.kzgjfl.cn/
